A perfect holiday home available throughout the year and suitable for couples, friends or families as a main summer holiday, second holiday or even - taking advantage of bargain air fare promotions – as a short break outside the summer months.
The cottage-style apartment with traditional Roman pantiled roof is on the third and top floor in a private mixed residential domaine of approximately 100 villas and some apartments, many of which are holiday homes and not always occupied.
Because of the incline of the land the main access to the apartment is to the rear by a short individual external stairway of just 6 steps and so the feeling is very much of entering a small cottage, yet from the spacious furnished terrace to the front there are superb views across the village roofs and valley to the Maures Mountains in the distance beyond.
The residents of The Domaine are able to enjoy shared access to a swimming pool (13.5m x 7m), children’s paddling pool, boules court and tennis court. These facilities are often quiet during the day, as many people tend to be out exploring the beautiful countryside, enjoying the beaches, or even shopping in the nearby towns and villages. Around 5pm, people often gather by the pool for a refreshing dip to cool off after their busy day of activities and before the start of their evening. This is a good time to meet other holiday makers and perhaps make friends.
The property has everything necessary for a successful holiday - very comfortably furnished with appliances to take the stress out of everyday tasks - including dishwasher, washing machine. There is also a TV, DVD player and music system, should you find the time to use them. Designated private parking is just outside. In addition to the two bedrooms there is a double sofa-bed in the lounge. Bedding and towels are included. Outside peak season (June to September) there is the possibility of reserving a short break, otherwise bookings are normally accepted from Saturday to Saturday.
The charming and very active village of Le Plan de la Tour has a population of nearly 2500 and is situated not far from Saint Tropez and Sainte Maxime in the heart of the Massif des Maures. The historic centre of the village is a short stroll away from the apartment where there are boulangeries, bar/cafes, other everyday local shops, communal tennis courts and seven or so restaurants, and it is only 15 minutes’ drive to the famous French holiday resort of Sainte Maxime where there is a vast choice of restaurants and several supermarkets. A little further along the coast is the equally famous St Tropez which can be reached in 35 minutes or so by car or by taking the ferry shuttle (Les Bateaux Verts) over from Sainte Maxime - it is well worth the experience, especially in peak holiday season on market days!
Take a tour of the apartment - you will not be disappointed!
